This course has been developed teach students the necessary skills to survive and thrive in Mountain (Austere) Environments. Students will learn Modern Survival Skills, Primitive/Modern Shelter Construction, Site Identification, Basic First Aid, Signaling, Land Navigation, Water Purification, Fire Building/Sustainment, and Map/Compass Skills and Communications. The Mountain course takes place over a period of three days (two nights) in the Central Balkan Mountains.
